The CNC dresser is completely new and designed with dual bearingized slides with .000010 repeatability. Its sturdy design will give you years of reliable service and superior accuracy with extremely smooth surface finish results.
Built into the system is CRI’s exclusive thu-hole coolant design. This feature applies the coolant precisely at the correct point of contact where your dressing tool contacts the grinding wheel, guaranteeing optimal diamond life and additional reduction in tooling cost. CNC Controls
After years of development we have designed an operator package that is simple to use yet extremely flexible, allowing you to create any profile path geometry needed for your application. Utilizing exclusive Cam Generator Software, the controller compiles a continuous cam, which will maintain the diamond tool at a constant surface feedrate throughout the dress profile. This feature produces the most accurate geometry possible and maintains a constant finish across the entire grinding wheel face. The Operator Interface is easy to use with graphical displays that walk the operator through setup and operation processes. Included are help screens that will assist the operator in the system’s operation.
There are no G-codes and M-codes used to create the dresser profile geometry. Instead, a simple point-to-point programming scheme generates both the linear and radial moves of the profile.
This makes programming simpler, learning how to program a new part print takes only minutes of training. This program uses a Windows 2000 or Windows XP based operating system from Entivity. The software has quickly become the industry standard in PC based control software.
As the geometry of the part profile is entered into the software, a graphic representation of the profile being programmed is generated automatically. Not only does this provide visual feedback of the geometry; the graphic display can be used by operators to verify that they have chosen the correct program on future runs of the same part.
The open architecture system allows complete freedom for customization to better fit your needs. The system can be up graded to a control platform for your entire machine. It can control all relay logic and up to sixteen axis of motion.
The control software can also be linked to SPC software, networked to front office IT systems and share data throughout the network for close control of your production and quality. The system employs digital servos with absolute position control making it unnecessary to re-home the grinder even after a power outage.
