Infeed grinding two parts at a time: CRI works to give you the most productive but easy to maintain process. This project processes two, thin wall, stainless steel transmission components in each infeed cycle on a fully remanufactured and automated 220-8 Cincinnati centerless grinder. Processing the thin wall parts is enhanced with the programmability of the infeed cycle and regulating wheel speeds during each portion of the infeed cycle. |

Infeed grinding two Universal Joints at a time: This turnkey system grinds two universal joint trunnions at one time on the 325-12, creating a continuous flow manufacturing method. One finish ground trunnion is produced off every cycle of the grinder. The system is easy to operate with CRI's EZ Touch PC based system that is preprogrammed. The operator uses simple screens to maintain and monitor the grinding process. Watch the regulating wheel slow, stop, reposition the trunnion, and speed back up for grinding. |

An extremely fast method of infeed grinding: CRI's Eccentric Grinding System is great for multiple diameter parts with low stock removals. Because one finished part is obtained with every revolution of the regulating wheel, process rates are typically from 600 to 1,200 pieces per hour. This machine is equipped with CRI's EZ Touch PC based system which integrates all machine and automation operations in an operator friendly format. The 220-8 is a great candidate for infeed grinding.

Fast processing of small infeed parts: These small, infeed parts are bowl fed into a push load and kicked out for quick production. The automation allows the operator to spend their time inspecting and packing parts and increases safety. The #1 is a very small footprint machine, ideal for this type of product.

Programmed turnkey infeed/thrufeed combination grinding: CRI designed this 220-8 to grind CB antenna's from straight bar stock with .090 stock removal on the tapered end. Many different part numbers are produced with everything the machine needs to know preprogrammed to make operation a breeze. This turnkey system uses CRI's EZ Touch PC based system which integrates the machine and all automation.

Multiple part infeed grinding: CRI specializes in turnkey centerless grinding systems with automation. This 220-8 system loads, grinds, and unloads, 3 parts at a time while grinding 3 separate lands on each part. This machine grinds 24x7 without downtime issues. We understand how to make grinding easy for the operator and cost effective for management!

 |
Infeed part handling increases operator safety: CRI incorporated a Cincinnati style push loader on this 220-8 with a load stop and a push-out attachment for a part handling solution for these long shafts. The infeed system also utilizes mist suppression to keep the operator and the grinding environment cleaner.

 |
Automation from beginning to end: This dual cylinder liner grind process incorporates material handling from a CNC lathe to an eddycurrent machine and finally into the 340-20 grinder, grinds two parts at a time and unloads into the 12 station wire basket that is sent to shipping. All the automation is engineered and manufactured in-house at CRI. This ability gives us full control over the project and gives you single vendor accountability.

In-process gaging in a centerless grind application: This complete CNC 220-8 machine uses in-process gaging in an infeed centerless process to keep shafts automatically on size without operator involvement. Each shaft is gaged, while being ground, and sends a signal to the grinder when compensation is needed. A hopper feeds the pneumatic pick and place part handling system, further reducing operator involvement. With CRI's EZ Touch PC based system the operator has a user friendly interface to maintain the grinding process.

Infeed grind 3 parts at a time: CRI specializes in turnkey centerless grinding systems with automation like the one on this 220-8. This system loads, grinds, and unloads, 3 parts at a time while grinding 2 separate lands on each part. These multiple part systems perform consistently. CRI can provide many happy references who don't want to grind any other way once the first system is installed. We understand how to make grinding easy for the operator and cost effective for management!

Turnkey grinding with automation: This 230-10 Cincinnati grinder was remanufactured and automated to process water pump shafts. This grinder incorporates CRI's earliest CNC control systems and a Pick & Place Magazine style loading and unloading system for automatic plunge grinding. This is one of six systems that have been in continual operation for a decade of trouble free production grinding.

Load Assist for Headed Parts: This simple loader keeps the operator's hands out of the machine when grinding headed parts. The back stop/kicker is adjustable to allow for various lengths. This loader is mounted to the workrest and works for any model of grinder. |
